4th Annual Happy Valley Latin Festival celebrates Latinx Culture in Central Pa.
STATE COLLEGE — The vibrant rhythms and rich traditions of Latinx culture will once again take center stage at the 4th Annual Happy Valley Latin Festival.
This one-day music and arts festival will be held on Saturday, Sept. 14, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the MLK Plaza and Fraser Street in Downtown State College. The event is free and open to all, promising an unforgettable experience for attendees of all ages.
Founded by Adianez “Ady” Martinez, the visionary behind Juana’s Venezuelan Cuisine, the Happy Valley Latin Festival was created to showcase the dynamic and diverse essence of Latinx/Hispanic culture. Martinez, along with a dedicated group of community members, has successfully brought together Latino and Hispanic talents to celebrate and share their heritage with Central Pennsylvania.
Following the festival’s inaugural success, the Latin Vibe Non-Profit Organization was established to further enrich the community. Latin Vibe’s mission is to foster the development of Hispanic leadership in State College and the surrounding areas by organizing, sponsoring and promoting a wide array of community, social, educational and cultural programs.
This includes the annual Happy Valley Latin Festival, which serves as a vibrant platform for cultural exchange and community engagement.
Attendees can look forward to a diverse lineup of live Latin music performances, interactive art exhibits and an array of craft vendors offering unique and handmade goods. The festival will also feature traditional Latinx cuisine, offering a taste of the rich culinary traditions that are central to the culture.
“Cultural diversity is the heartbeat of our society’s development. The Happy Valley Latin Festival not only celebrates this diversity but also unites communities, fosters understanding, and enriches Center County with vibrant Latin culture,” Martinez said.
Join us on Saturday, Sept. 14, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., in the MLK Plaza and Fraser Street to experience the vibrant energy, rich traditions and warm community spirit of the Happy Valley Latin Festival.
