Altoona Symphony Orchestra to present ‘A Box of Chocolates’ Feb. 2

ALTOONA — The Altoona Symphony Orchestra is pleased to present a special recital, “A Box of Chocolates,” showcasing the beautiful sounds of its woodwinds and strings musicians.

They will perform a carefully curated selection of musical treats on Sunday, Feb. 2, at 2 p.m., offering something sweet for every listener. Much like a box of chocolates, each piece will offer a unique and rich experience, from lush harmonies to exhilarating melodies.

The performance will take place at the ArtsAltoona Center, 2212 6th Ave., Altoona. Tickets are free to the public, with donations being accepted.

This performance is possible through the generosity of one of the ASO’s own violinists, Maureen Verzella, a longtime performer, educator and friend of the arts.

The Altoona Symphony Orchestra is currently in its 96th year of providing Blair County and the surrounding region with the highest level in music entertainment, educational opportunities and community engagement.
