WILLIAMSPORT — On April 25-27 and May 1-4, The Community Theatre League invites audiences to experience a comedy that’s truly to die for!

Noel Coward’s high-spirited classic “Blithe Spirit” arrives at CTL this week, promising an evening full of clever banter, supernatural shenanigans and uproarious ghostly chaos.

Tickets are available now at https://ctlshows.com/season-48/#blithespirit. Tickets cost $25 for adults, $23 for seniors, $20 for students and $15 for children under 12. In this delightfully witty comedy, skeptical novelist Charles Condomine finds himself caught between two wives — one living, one very much not. Hoping to gather inspiration for his next book, Charles invites a flamboyant medium, Madame Arcati, to conduct a seance at his home. To everyone’s shock, she accidentally summons the spirit of Charles’ late first wife, Elvira — and she’s not going quietly back to the great beyond. As Elvira mischievously wreaks havoc from the afterlife, Charles’ current wife Ruth begins to suspect that her marriage may be headed for more than just trouble in paradise.

What follows is a riotous, supernatural love triangle filled with unexpected twists, razor-sharp dialogue and one of theatre’s most unforgettable seances.

“This show is a masterclass in language and laughter,” says Seth Sponhouse, executive artistic director of CTL. “Coward’s biting wit still feels fresh today, and the play’s blend of farce and the paranormal makes it a perfect escape for our audiences. We were especially excited to bring farce back to our stage — it’s been missing since Season 46’s hit production of CLUE, and we know our audiences are ready to laugh again.”

The cast features a blend of CTL favorites and new faces, including:

— Billy Martel as Charles Condomine

— Kahlie DeHotman as Ruth Condomine

— Autumn Wehry as Elvira Condomine

— Melissa Waddell as Madame Arcati

— Saffo Valentino as Edith

— Jason Cassidy as Dr. George Bradman

— Wendy Durant as Mrs. Violet Bradman

Blithe Spirit is directed by Tara Deljanovan and proudly sponsored by Hudock Capital, CTL’s 2024-2025 Season Sponsor.

With its brilliant dialogue, eccentric characters, and otherworldly surprises, Blithe Spirit is the kind of theatrical magic that only Noel Coward could create.
