LOCK HAVEN — This Sunday, June 29, South Penn Dixie are making their debut in the Summer Concert Series at the Floating Stage, performing from 6:30-9 p.m.
South Penn Dixie has carved a name for themselves as the premier country party band in the northeast. With high-energy performances, they deliver a dynamic blend of contemporary country hits and timeless classics.
The changing landscape of pop music in the 2020s has even made room for country on the dance floor. And there’s no better band at playing modern country music with a rock edge than fresh new blood, South Penn Dixie.
Led by the charismatic Ricky Bell, South Penn Dixie are a group of seasoned players with a passion for that great, feel-good country music enjoyed by a wide range of audiences. With over 20 years of experience, Ricky has performed in hundreds of venues. It’s a lifetime passion of his to perform and over the years he has had the pleasure of performing with some great acts and opening for some notable groups such as Styx, REO Speedwagon, Kansas, Blue Oyster Cult, The Tubes, Ian Anderson, Great White and Dokken. Ricky is glad to be returning to his country roots in a band named after the winding back road he grew up on.
Joining Ricky on the floating stage is Marc Bunn on guitar and vocals, Mark Bracken on Bass and vocals and John Malachefski on drums.
The band is a big hit already for summer music series, street fairs and festivals and equally popular in night clubs, casinos and private events. Digging into their deep bag of latest country music hits and mixing in some timeless rock n’ roll classics, South Penn Dixie has the party people dancing and singing as they play with the authority and authenticity of the biggest names in the country music business.
