Plein Air Artist debuts Millionaire’s Row series at the Herdic House Restaurant

WILLIAMSPORT -- Local plein air artist Beth DeJesus England will present her newest body of work, the Millionaires' Row Series, in a solo exhibition at the Herdic House Restaurant from Oct. 3 to Nov. 4. An Opening Reception will be held during First Friday, Oct. 3, from 5-8 p.m., and is free and open to the public.
For many years, England has been intrigued by the rich history of Williamsport and its famed Millionaires' Row. Having attended several Victorian Christmas events in past years, she felt drawn to capture the beauty and spirit of this historic district through her art.
The series began in May with her plein air painting of The Herdic House and concludes with Annunciation Catholic Church on 4th Street. England was inspired by the church's striking architecture and moved by its story.
"I've had such an amazing time creating this series," says England. "Along the way, I've met so many kind and interesting people who make Williamsport's historic district feel alive. I'm excited to finally share these works with the community."
The exhibition features seven new plein air oil paintings, each framed and presented to highlight the architecture, atmosphere and legacy of Millionaire's Row. In addition to the originals, signed prints, notecards and postcards featuring the series will be available for purchase during the exhibition and reception.
The Herdic House, a celebrated landmark restaurant in Williamsport, offers a fitting backdrop for England's work, blending history, culture and hospitality in the heart of the city.
