Tony Award-winning ‘Six the Musical’ comes to Happy Valley for three nights

UNIVERSITY PARK — Tickets are on sale now for the Tony Award-winning, electrifying new musical phenomenon “Six the Musical.”

The Center for the Performing Arts will host the hit Broadway production at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 18-Thursday, Nov. 20, in Eisenhower Auditorium.

From Tudor queens to pop icons, the “Six” wives of Henry VIII take the microphone to remix 500 years of historical heartbreak into a euphoric celebration of 21st-century girl power! This new original musical by Tony Award winners Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss is the global sensation that everyone is losing their head over!

Tickets are $89 and $74 for an adult; $53 and $48 for a University Park student; and $72 and $57 for a person 18 and younger and are available to buy online. Avoid the $4 fee by purchasing over the phone at 814-863-0255 or in person, weekdays 10 a.m.-4 p.m., at Eisenhower Auditorium.

“Six” won 23 awards in the 2021-2022 Broadway season, including the Tony for Best Original Score (music and lyrics) and the Outer Critics Circle Award for Best Musical.

The North American Tour Boleyn Company touring cast includes Emma Elizabeth Smith as Catherine of Aragon; Nella Cole as Anne Boleyn; Kelly Denice Taylor as Jane Seymour; Hailey Alexis Lewis as Anna of Cleves; Aliza Cruz as Katherine Howard; and Tasia Jungbauer as Catherine Parr; with alternates Anna Hertel, Carlina Parker, Abigail Sparrow and Annaliese Wilbur.

The “Six: Live on Opening Night” Broadway album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard cast album charts and has surpassed 100 million streams.

“Six” includes flashing lights, strobe effects, theatrical haze and loud music. The production is recommended for ages 10 and older, but Queens of all ages are welcome!
