Musica Antiqua to hold concert March 29 in State College

Musica Antiqua of Central Pennsylvania will hold a concert of “Songs from a Medieval Easter & Spring” on Sunday, March 29, from 2-3:30 p.m., at St. Peter’s United Church of Christ/ROPC, 1795 W. College Ave., State College. Please enter at the back of the church via the wheelchair ramp. The program, directed by Carol Pharo, includes performers Maura Sugg, Sean Golder, Violet Burney, Holly Foy and more. Featured instruments include recorders, harps, violin, viola and violas da gamba. The music includes chants by Hildegard von Bingen and songs from troubadours, trouveres, minnesingers, Francesco Landini and several anonymous composers — all written in the 12th to 14th centuries.
