SVRCS art class makes homemade kiln

Kat Wysnewski’s art class at Sugar Valley Rural Charter School has created a homemade kiln. This kiln was created through a “sawdust firing/barrel compiling” method using wood chunks and cow manure. They created layers to fire ceramic pieces. Pictured are the results of the firing once they cooled. Keep an eye out for a full story in a later edition of The Express.
