LEMONT -- The Lemont Village Green is the site of a free concert each Friday evening. On July 31, the concert will feature The John Wise Band playing piano-based classic rock and pop. John and his friends will share the music of Billy Joel, Carole King, Stevie Wonder, Chicago, Electric Light Orchestra and others in a brand-new show for 2026. The band brings together friends from Pennsylvania and New York, for good music and fun for everyone! Concerts begin at 7:30 p.m. and run until 9 p.m.
The concerts are outdoors, so bring your lawn chairs or a blanket. Picnics are encouraged as well!
If there is light rain -- the concert is on, bring gear. If there is thunder and lightning, it gets moved to the Granary. Please check the website, www.lemontvillage.org, after 5 p.m. Friday to learn of weather updates.
Bring a few dollars to support the efforts of Scout Troop 367 who offer ice cream cones beginning at 7 p.m. The scouts ask for a donation to cover the ice cream and to help with their fundraising efforts this summer.
