Village Green Concerts each Friday continue

2 min read

LEMONT -- This week's concert on the Lemont Village Green on Friday, Aug. 14, features Mary Madigan on guitar and vocals; Ian Marshall on guitar and Joe Pillot, also playing guitar, with a variety of covers and originals.

The free concerts are held each Friday evening from 7:30 to 9 p.m. during the month of August and during the month of September, when it starts to get dark earlier, the concerts are held from 7-8:30 p.m.

Picnics are welcome on the Village Green and you can bring chairs or blankets for your added comfort.

Be sure to enjoy an ice cream cone, courtesy of Scout Troop 367. The Scouts will be selling the cones starting at 7 p.m. The cost for a cone is a monetary donation of your choice which will help the Troop with their fundraising efforts.

If there is light rain on Friday at concert time -- the concert is still on, so bring your umbrella and rain gear. But, if there is thunder and lightning, it gets moved to the Granary. Please check the website, www.lemontvillage.org, on weather reports as to where the concert is intended after 5 p.m. on Friday.

Next week, the feature artists will be Group Therapy, with Jim Herbert, Darcy Butler, Charlie Rury and John Clements.

The Lemont Village Green is located at 133 Mount Nittany Road, Lemont, Pa. For more information visit their website or call Sue at 814-238-1288.
