LEMONT -- The Lemont Village Green concert on Friday, Sept. 4, features Granma Ben, with Steve Treado on vocals, guitar and mandolin; Chris Gallagher on bass and vocals and Doug Irwin on vocals and guitar.

Doug says, "Granma Ben has been playing Americana darkly since 2020. Our sets mix originals, well known and not-so-well-known covers."

Please note that concerts in September begin at 7 p.m. and continue until 8:30 p.m., because it gets cooler and darker earlier. Sound pros, Jim Thorn and Tom Hesketh, provide their expertise, and Mel DeYoung, Doug Irwin and Jim Mauden help with set up.

If there is light rain - the concert is on, bring your rain gear. But, If there is thunder and lightning, it gets moved to the Granary. Please check the website, www.lemontvillage.org, after 5 p.m. on Friday to see any weather condition updates.

Picnics are welcome on the Village Green, and you're always welcome to bring a blanket and your own lawn chairs for a more comfortable concert experience.

Scout Troop 367 will be selling ice cream cones starting at 6:30 p.m. and they may be experimenting with selling hot cocoa as well. The cones and cocoa are available for a donation made to the scout troop. Bring a mug for your hot cocoa.

The Lemont Village Green is located at 133 Mount Nittany Road, Lemont, Pa.
