MILL HALL – Clinton County Memorials just got a bit bigger.
Owner Andrew Noll recently bought out Gibson Monuments, one of the region’s oldest memorial companies.
Gibson Monuments was previously owned and operated by Charles Harter Jr. of Mill Hall. Gibson Monuments has served Clinton County since 1895.
Noll said the two businesses are currently being consolidated to his Clinton County Memorials’ location at 6945 Nittany Valley location outside of Mill Hall.
Clinton Memorials started in 2007 as a part-time side business of Moriarty Funeral Home under ownership of Zach Hanna. In 2011, Noll came aboard, and last year, the company moved to the current location and Noll came on full time.
Noll graduated from Frin Memorial Designs Sandblasting training in 2011.
The business specializes in granite and bronze cemetery markers, mountain stone engraving, and cleaning and repair work.
“It’s been good so far,” Noll said.
He said the Gibson Monuments name was a strong reason for the buyout.
“They’ve been established for 100 years,” he said. “People are familiar with the name.”
