MILL HALL -- AT&T services have moved into the Clinton County area with a new branch in Mill Hall.
AT&T moved into the building space, previously utilized by Blockbuster for a number of years and then a GameStop. The new Mill Hall branch, located at 281 Hogan Boulevard, opened on Jan. 21.
The choice to move an AT&T branch into Clinton County came from a field test and a service test that was conducted in the area by the mobile service company. The store manager, Joshua Orso said the field test and service check determines whether or not a new build is implemented. Since the closest AT&T branch is in Lewisburg, it helped put the Mill Hall branch into light for better and closer service logistics with local customers.
The Mill Hall AT&T branch covers any area ranging from State College to Williamsport, according to Orso.
"It's a good in-between for us," he said, referring to Mill Hall being a service middle ground between cities.
The new branch is a "fully operational store" going from the conusmer side, the prepaid side and handles all of the business accounts in the area, said Orso.
AT&T also provides a FirstNet program that is specific to government first responders -- local police, fire, doctors and more. It helps those specific customers by getting special equipment, special services and priorty service, according to Orso.
Shortly, the branch will have fully operational demos for everything that is on display at any AT&T across the United States. As far as in-store services, they provide accessories all the way up to full-bill analysis with customers -- rewriting plans at any time and helping customers in-store with any of their AT&T needs or questions.
AT&T also offers TV streaming services through DirectTV for customers and businesses. Orso said it is a wireless version streaming service that customers can get boxes and a DVR system with all of the "great features" through DirectTV. The streaming service will be attatched right to the customers wireless account.
The Mill Hall branch is comprised of six team members, four sales representatives, a wireless specialist and Orso as the store's manager.
AT&T is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
