WILLIAMSPORT -- Karen Young, President and Chief Executive Officer of Jersey Shore State Bank has been appointed to the Pennsylvania Bankers Association's (PA Bankers') Women in Banking Advisory Committee.
The committee is charged with developing and coordinating offerings to provide expanded, focused resources to the women of Pennsylvania's banking industry in the areas of professional development, networking, recognition, mentoring and volunteerism. Members of the committee also help plan the association's annual Women in Banking Conference each March.
Young, will serve a three-year term. A financial and customer service veteran with more than 40 years' experience in leadership roles in banking, she has held a wide range of positions within the industry. Young has demonstrated a strong track record in initiating and leading change, driving results, strengthening operational risk and compliance, and innovating amid a rapidly evolving digital landscape. Young directs the creation and development of teams in the existing markets within the JSSB footprint, as well as building teams in prospective new market areas.
