Sixth from the right in the front row, in the blue blazer, is Elizabeth Peters Bhatt, daughter of Howard and Sally Peters. They are incredibly proud of her. Bhatt is the granddaughter of the late Elmer and Marie Peters of Beech Creek. Bhatt is a 1989 BA graduate in chemistry of Pomona College in Claremont, Calif., and a member of Phi Beta Kappa. Bhatt has served as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of this biotech start-up in SSF for two years. Septerna Bio is a biotech company in Southern San Francisco, Calif., that recently had its first successful IPO on Oct. 24, 2024 on the NASDAQ. The company is now valued at almost $1 billion. The Septerna president did the actual bell ringing.
