LOCK HAVEN — Terrapin, a leading grower, processor and retailer of medical marijuana, recently announced the one-year anniversary of its full Pennsylvania retail footprint. With the opening of its final store in Lock Haven (Woodward Township) during the week of April 20 last year, the company is celebrating a successful first year of operations across its three locations in Bellefonte, Lewisburg and Lock Haven.
To commemorate this significant milestone, Terrapin is hosting a week of patient appreciation events beginning April 16 and running through the anniversary on April 20. Patients can look forward to limited-time product drops and daily specials, including curated product bundles at all three dispensary locations.
The best way to follow the anniversary specials throughout the week of April 20 is to visit TerrapinCareStation.com and sign up for the Terrapin Loyalty Club, which can be found under the “Shop” menu.
“Opening these three stores over the last year was a major step in our mission to serve Pennsylvania patients,” said Chris Woods, Founder and CEO of Terrapin. “From our production facility in Avis to our dispensaries in Bellefonte, Lewisburg and Lock Haven, we have spent the past 12 months proving that a medical marijuana company can be a powerful engine for local economic growth and a dedicated partner in community service.”
This anniversary celebration is in addition to Terrapin’s consistent, year-round appreciation for its patients. The company maintains a steadfast commitment to accessibility through ongoing discounts for veterans, seniors and new patients, as well as others who have been positively impacted by the plant that unites this entire community.
A Year of
Purpose-Driven Community
Impact
Terrapin’s first year of retail operations was defined by a deep commitment to social responsibility. In 2025, Terrapin donated approximately $83,500 to various causes, a giving strategy directed by an employee-led Social Impact Committee.
The distribution of these funds highlights Terrapin’s dual focus on local roots and systemic change:
— $65,000 was donated directly to local nonprofits and community sponsorships in the regions surrounding the three stores, such as FaithCentre Food Bank, DIG Furniture Bank and Horses of Hope.
The remaining funds were dedicated to advocacy efforts, including criminal justice and drug policy reform.
— Terrapin employees contributed nearly 300 hours of volunteer service to local organizations through the company’s Volunteer Paid Time Off (VPTO) program, which pays staff to give back to their communities.
Advancing
Equity and
Economic Growth
Terrapin continues to lead the industry in diversity and inclusion. In 2025, the company directed $1.5 million toward diverse contracting, partnering with businesses owned by women, minorities and veterans.
This commitment to equity is also reflected in Terrapin’s workforce. Across the three dispensaries, which created 42 local jobs, 38 of those positions are held by diverse hires. At the company’s Clinton County production facility, which employs 144 people, over half of the staff represents diverse backgrounds.
Serving
Underserved
Patients
Before Terrapin expanded its retail presence in 2025, many patients in Centre, Clinton and Union counties were forced to drive 30 to 45 miles to access medicine. Over the past year, the Bellefonte, Lewisburg and Lock Haven locations have significantly reduced those barriers to care, providing education and high-quality products to hundreds of Pennsylvanians in underserved regions.
