WILLIAMSPORT — Pajama Factory recently announced it was selected as a winner of the inaugural PurposeBuilt100, an exclusive national recognition honoring the 100 fastest-growing mission-driven businesses in America.
The distinction places Pajama Factory among a select group of organizations demonstrating that strong business performance and meaningful social impact can thrive together.
Unlike many business rankings that recognize thousands of companies, the PurposeBuilt100 identified only 100 companies nationwide following an extensive screening and evaluation process.
“We are honored to be included in the very first PurposeBuilt100,” said Mark Winkelman, owner. “This recognition reflects our commitment to creating impact in our community not only through business growth, but also through our mission of preserving historic spaces, supporting entrepreneurs, fostering creativity and strengthening our community.”
According to PurposeBuilt100 organizers, the list was developed through a rigorous process that included screening thousands of mission-driven businesses across the United States. Companies were identified through direct outreach, application review and analysis of public filings to identify founder-led organizations that are successfully combining purpose and growth.
Being selected for the PurposeBuilt100 signifies that Pajama Factory stands among an elite group of organizations proving that business success can be measured by more than financial performance alone. The recognition highlights companies that are creating positive economic, social and community impact while achieving growth.
Located in the historic former Pajama Factory manufacturing complex in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, Pajama Factory has become a thriving center for artists, makers, entrepreneurs, nonprofit organizations and innovative businesses. Through the revitalization of a historic industrial landmark, the organization continues to demonstrate how adaptive reuse, entrepreneurship and community engagement can work together to create lasting impact.
“This award belongs to our tenants, artists, entrepreneurs, staff and community partners,” added Suzanne Winkelman, co-owner. “Their creativity, resilience, and dedication are what make the Pajama Factory such a unique and vibrant place. We are grateful to be recognized alongside so many inspiring mission-driven companies across the country.”
