With our community continuing to see a need for volunteers, the Leadership Clinton County program (LCC) remains strong with its community involvement.

Leadership participants -- those who have completed the program and those who make up the current class -- can be seen throughout Clinton County giving their time and talent and giving back to their community.

This year's LCC participants began their nine-month leadership development journey in September. The class was divided into smaller groups and given the task of volunteering with local organizations. Team members Heather Alexander, Cheyenne Karichner, Sara Getz and Heather McMahon assisted with the Brews in the Barn fundraiser which supports Millbrook Playhouse. They helped with set-up, worked the event and tear down.

Team members Laura Hansen, Holly Beaver, Travis Gibiser and Tara Pearce volunteered at a Horses of Hope fundraiser and went on location to assist with the maintenance of the horses.

Team members Melissa Burd, Haley Bauer, Sara Hunninger and Quincey George assisted with the Beech Creek Blanchard Santa Jump Jamboree. They helped with set-up, worked the children's craft area for the event and clean-up.

Team members Crystal Zbegner, Noah Lenker and Lisa Ruggiers volunteered at the Mark the Shark Toy Drive event at Walmart. They collected toy and cash donations throughout the day and helped with sorting of the toys at the distribution site.

Team members Hilary Miles, Holly Eisaman, Greg Kisko and Lisa Schropp plan to volunteer at the Frozen Snot scheduled for Feb. 3. They will be on the trail to help assist races and man the only check station at the event.

Through the Leadership Clinton County Alumni Association, previous program graduates also stay active in the community. In 2024 they plan to volunteer at various trail races such as the Frozen Snot trail race in February, Hyner View Trail Challenge in April and the Bolder Beast Trail Challenge in September. They also support the Heisey Museum during their Wine in the Wilds wine tasting festival in April.

Individually, you will see Leadership Clinton County graduates in various roles in the community, including serving as government officials, board and committee members, members of civic organizations, and coaches for youth teams. LCC graduates volunteer wherever there is a need.

Organized by the Clinton County Economic Partnership, Leadership Clinton County is a comprehensive leadership development program for adults living and/or working in Clinton County.
