As part of this edition of Partners, I would like to offer my words that were delivered at the Partnership's annual dinner in October 2023:

On behalf of the Clinton County Economic Partnership staff and board, thank you for all attending. We had 225 reservations. We would like to thank all of our sponsors, including our elite sponsor Penn Centre Logistics, and gold sponsors First Energy, Geisinger and UPMC. And thanks to Commonwealth University Lock Haven and the Durrwachter Center and Aramark for hosting us.

Chris Barnett of Croda, thanks for being our speaker. Croda means a lot to this community and we look forward to the future. And congrats to Dan Harger, who will have his name on the Partnership building in the spring of 2024. This is for recognition for Dan's many years of volunteering in our greater community.

I would like to thank our staff -- April Bittner, Kira Rosamilia and Megan Wheeler. They did and do great work, especially when I had to take a medical siesta in late August. And thanks to the board members for their constant volunteer work.

To summarize the past year, I believe it was more good than bad, but obviously we did not get the one big one -- Renovo Energy-- we had worked on for years, but no sense opening that can again, but brighter days are hopefully ahead.

We have had strong legislative support -- Congressman GT, State Sen. Dush, State Rep. Borowicz, and commissioners Kessinger, Snyder and Harding, and many municipalities support the Partnership, including the City of Lock Haven, boroughs and townships.

I would be remiss if I didn't mention some of the people we have lost in the last year or so who contributed in one form or the other to our county -- Chester Pribble, Claire Eckley, Duane Bechdel, Ellis Warner, Cal Wilson, Bob Getz, Lana Muthler, Joe Sanders, Lee Schrack, Don Malinak, Ron Peters, Butch Rooney, Bill Marino, Carl Russell, John Gummo, Grant Miller, Tuff Rine, Joe Costulas, Joe Nestlerode, Ron Drewery, Charlie Maxwell and Beth Schrack.

Thanks again for coming. We will see you again. We look forward to 2024.
