MACKEYVILLE –It’s that time of year again… time for the Clinton County Fair.

The ceremony begins immediately after ceremonies officially opening this year’s fair.

Three judges from outside of Clinton County will evaluate each candidate on personal interview, evening gown and introduction, presentation of a speech on “Why you should come to my fair,” and a written essay on “What my fair means to my community.”

The queen will be presented with a crown and sash, bouquet of roses, and gifts, as well as a fair premium and the Dr. Douglas Casses Memorial Award. She will reign over this year’s fair, helping with promotions and activities throughout the week-long event.

Sponsors of this year’s queen contest are Dean K. Wetzler Jr. Funeral Home, Mill Hall Kiwanis Club, Nittany Valley Lions Club, the Lock Haven Branch of AAUW, and the Bechdel Family.

The fair continues through Saturday, August 4.
