‘Believe in Bartlett’ event a success

This past weekend at Avenue 209 Coffeehuose, locals, Sarah Smeltz, Jaimie Bower and Noah Schlesinger, organized an acoustic night benefit for former resident, Alex Bartlett. Bartlett was recently diagnosed with teticular cancer and continues his fight at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. The night featured performances local band, ‘Dumm’ and acoustic duo Brian and Mar Cleary of State College. At the end of the night baskets donated by The Express, Love Your Melon (LHU Chapter) and It Is What It Is were raffled off. T-shirts donated by Oliver Spits and DJ 9000 and bracelets with the phrase “Believe in Bartlett” were sold as well with all proceeds going towards Alex’s medical bills.
