Genealogical Society plans online get-together
LOCK HAVEN — In lieu of its annual picnic, the Clinton County Genealogical Society will hold an online meeting on Tuesday, July 14 at 7 p.m.
The public is welcome to attend the meeting, which is free and will be held via Zoom. The gathering will be an informal discussion of genealogy and history.
Bring your research questions and family stories, enjoy the company of like-minded genealogists, learn about the resources available to trace your family here, and maybe even find a cousin or two!

Reenactment group meets July 8
STATE COLLEGE –The July meeting of the 148th Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry Regiment, Company C, Civil War Reenactment Group will be held on Wednesday, July 8, at 7:30 p.m. at Hoss’s Steak and Sea Restaurant, 1450 N. Atherton Street, State College.
The Civil War reenactors will be discussing their summer and fall Civil War reenacting schedule to include the Annual Gettysburg Battle Reenactment the weekend of August 22-23 at the Daniel Lady Farm site in Gettysburg, the Fall Skirmish of the Battle of Antietam/Sharpsburg the weekend of September 12-13 again at the Daniel Lady Farm site in Gettysburg, and the Annual Battle of Cedar Creek Reenactment in Middletown, VA the weekend of October 17-18
The Regiment is actively recruiting new members. Anyone who is interested in learning more about Civil War reenacting or the Civil War in general is encouraged to attend.
