PHOTOS PROVIDED

The above photographs are of the Hyner bridge under construction believed to be taken sometime in the early 20th century. They were submitted by Fred Bucheit who recently digitized the photos. Bucheit found the photos, taken by Lock Haven resident Carl Rader, and stored inside a large box that held an old view camera that was broken into pieces. According to local historian Lou Bernard, Rader was born in 1906 and lived in Mill Hall for awhile. He passed away in 1981 and is buried in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
