The Sugar Valley Community Senior lunch for January will be held as a take-out only meal this month. Scheduled for Wed., Jan. 27, the meal will be available for pick-up between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. The menu will consist of fish, macaroni and cheese, stewed tomatoes, cole slaw, and dessert. You may reserve a meal by calling Kim at (570)725-3767 by Tuesday, Jan. 26 or by calling the church Wed. morning, Jan. 27, after 9 a.m. If the incidence of COVID-19 improves in the next few weeks, they hope to return to dine-in meals in February.
Life Skills for Teens
The Independent Living Program will be offering two free public life skills lessons for teens through Zoom in January. These lessons are open to all teens in Clinton County in 6th-12th grade. Our focus in January will be on personal finance and financial aid. All youth who attend will be entered in a drawing to win a gift card. Spaghetti dinner and chicken
The Bellefonte Knights of Columbus will hold a spaghetti dinner and chicken noodle soup sale on Jan. 25 from 4 to 7 p.m. or until sold out. The sale benefits the Knights and is available to-go only from their hall at 315 Stoney Batter, Bellefont behind the Dollar General. People can order a spaghetti and homemade meatballs, salad, garlic bread and a dessert for $9 per dinner. Quarts of the order’s chicken noodle soup will be $5.
