YARD & BAKE SALE

Curtin United Methodist Church is having their “Beat the Winter Blues” yard and bake sale at the church located at 305 Curtin Village Road, Howard The church is located near the Curtin Mansion and Ironworks property.

The sale will be on Friday, Feb. 26, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and again on Saturday, Feb. 27, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Donations will be accepted and info can be obtained by calling Larry at 814-355-9588. Please wear a mask and practice COVID safety procedures.

WINTER FESTIVAL

The Howard Cub Scouts and Boy Scout Troop 353 are planning a Winter Festival on March 13. The festival is free and will be held at the park beside the post office in Howard beginning at 11 a.m.

There will be food trucks, various vendors, games for the kids, raffles and entertainment for all ages. Woodraptor Bobby Gummo will also be there and is donating a carved bench for one of the raffles.

VENDORS WANTED

Vendors are wanted for the indoor Titan Market that is held on Fridays and Saturdays at the old Cerro Metal Plant located at 2042 Axemann Road in Bellefonte. The market is open year-round on Friday and Saturdays from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. Vendors with wares of produce, butchered meats, dairy products, bulk foods, crafts and other specialties are urged to give the market a try by calling 814-404-7422. Many vendors are offering a senior citizen discount for shoppers each Friday.

Adam Yarger will be a featured musical artist on Feb. 20 from noon to 2 p.m. at the market. Adam is a singer/songwriter and guitarist who grew up in Centre Hall, and moved to Nashville in 2014. He’s on tour and in the area this week promoting his new album. You can learn more about Adam on his Facebook page.
