Railroad club
The Clinton Central Model Railroad Club will hold its annual Spring Train Meet on Saturday, May 1 at the Clinton County Fairgrounds, off Lock Haven Exit 178 of Interstate 80 on Fairground Road, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Open to pets
The PA Department of Conservation and Natural Resources announced that more campsites at state parks will be open to pets beginning in 2022, including Poe Valley in Centre County and R.B. Hometown Hero Banner Program
Downtown Lock Haven, Inc. is selling Hometown Hero Banners for the 2021-22 streetlight banner program. The banners can honor a veteran, an emergency responder, or, new this banner round, a front-line health care worker. The banners will be unveiled and introduced during a special ceremony in August and will hang on streetlights in Lock Haven for the next two years. Shoes for Shore
Shoes for Shore has reopened to serve underprivileged Jersey Shore area children. For safety purposes, families are asked to wait in the hallway until staff invite them in to be served. The service is open from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on the third Saturday of each month.
