Good Intent Cider awarded Best in Show at PA Farm Show

BELLEFONTE — Good Intent Cider, a family-owned and operated cidery based in Bellefonte, Pa., announced today that they were awarded Best in Show this past weekend at the 2022 PA Farm Show Cider Competition for their flagship cider, Adam’s Apple. This is the first Best in Show for Good Intent Cider.

Additionally, several other Good Intent ciders placed in this year’s competition, including:

— First in Traditional Cider: Wickson

— First in Hopped Cider: Hop Tide

— First in Wood-aged Cider: Jupiter’s Cherry

— Second in Wood-aged Cider: North Meets South

— First in Modern Dry Cider: Adam’s Apple

— Second in Spiced Cider: Ginger Kid

These ciders are available to try in Good Intent’s tasting room, located on Potter Street in the Bellefonte Waterfront District.

“We are elated that cidermaker Matt Simon’s hard work and expertise is being recognized at the State level,” said Adam Redding, owner of Good Intent Cider. “We have always believed that we have the best cider in Centre County, and it would seem we have the best cider in Pennsylvania too.”

2022 marks the fifth year that Good Intent has participated in the PA Farm Show Cider Competition. This year, 32 ciders from cideries in Adams, Cambria, Centre, Lackawanna, Lancaster, Northampton and York Counties vied for top honors.

Good Intent Cider is a family-owned and operated cidery located in historic Bellefonte, Pa. Founded in Gettysburg, Pa., production moved to Bellefonte in 2013 with the opening of the Potter Street tasting room. Plans are underway to open a satellite tasting room in Gettysburg in 2022.
