Rip ticket fundraiser for Roads To Peace
DUNNSTOWN -- Clinton County Roads To Peace is hosting a rip-ticket tournament to give people a chance to win money and support the organization's mission to assist victims and survivors of intimate partner violence.
The event will be held on Feb. 26 at 70 Woodward Ave. in Dunnstown. Doors open at 11 a.m., the tournament begins at 1 p.m., and will continue until it ends.
Tickets are $50 each, and admission includes the purchaser and a guest to rip tickets. The event is BYOB and includes a buffet meal and a basket raffle. There is an option to purchase two buybacks at $25 a piece.

Christian Women's Connection to host 'A Hometown' luncheon Feb. 23
FLEMINGTON -- On Wednesday, Feb. 23 the Lock Haven Christian Women's Connection will enjoy their "Hometown" Luncheon. The program will be held at the Flemington First Church of Christ, 714 Canal St., Allison Township. There is always good food, lots of fun and music and gifted speakers that help inform and inspire ladies to make a most memorable day.
The feature is the portion of the program when a knowledgeable speaker, or someone who can demonstrate something of interest to the ladies, is spotlighted. February's feature is entitled "Main Street." The feature guest is Downtown Lock Haven, Inc. Manager, Kira Rosamilia, who will let the ladies know about new shops and businesses and upcoming special events in the downtown Lock Haven area.
There is always a musical component at the luncheons. That part of February's program is entitled "Downtown" and popular local soloist, Elaine Barth will provide some very special vocal selections.
"At Home" refers to the inspirational portion of the program. This will feature speaker Betty Blyler who will explore "A Change of Focus, A Change of Heart."
The program begins at 11:50 a.m. and the cost of $15 per person includes lunch, entertainment, inspirational speaker and free parking. All area women are invited. The location allows for on-site childcare for young mothers. Nursery reservations must be made at the time that luncheon reservations are made. Mothers are asked to bring a lunch or snack for the child.
This is a perfectly good time to meet new friends and catch up with long-time friends! The luncheon is a warm and welcoming way to renew and refresh. The group is requesting that all who plan to attend make reservations. Old Mill Hall School Scholarship
MILL HALL -- The reunion committee of former students of the "Old Mill Hall School" are offering two scholarships in the amount of $1,000 each to one Central Mountain senior boy and $1,000 to one Central Mountain senior girl.
The applying students must be a direct descendant of a former Mill Hall School student such as child, grandchild or great-grandchild. These students must be entering an established school of higher education for the upcoming 2022-2023 year and they must also be a legal resident of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
The scholarships will be paid to the student's chosen institution of higher learning after completing and passing their first full semester. Scholarship applications are available at the Central Mountain High School guidance office. The application deadline is April 20, 2022.
