Clinton County Republican Party to hold grand opening

Dr. Oz, other candidates to attend Aug. 30 event

LOCK HAVEN -- The Clinton County Republican Party will host a grand opening and Meet and Greet the Candidates Night on Tuesday, Aug. 30, at 7 p.m. at the GOP Election Center, 7 First St., across the railroad tracks from Wendy's in Lock Haven. The location is the former Walker's Hardware Store. Light refreshments will be served.

Area Republicans and conservative Independents are invited to come meet and talk with two candidates running for election in November to include, Dr. Mehmet Oz, who is running for the U.S. Senate to represent the people of Pennsylvania and Representative Stephanie Borowicz, seeking re-election to the PA State House of Representatives for the 76th District.

Since Congressman Glenn "GT" Thompson, who is seeking re-election as the 15th U.S. Congressional District for Pennsylvania, will be unable to attend, his Campaign Director Marcie Lynch Assetta will speak on behalf of Thompson.

Senator Cris Dush, 25th District PA Senate, will also attend the grand opening.

"We are very excited about our conservative Republican slate of candidates and encourage everyone to come out to meet, speak personally with, and learn more about these great candidates," said Kurt Smith, Clinton County Republican Chairman.

The Republican Election Center provides assistance to register to vote, change party registration, and complete forms to request Mail-in and Absentee Ballots. Candidate Yard Signs and literature will be available.

Oct. 24 is the last day to register to vote before the Nov. 8, 2022 election.

Nov. 1 is the last day to apply for a mail-in or civilian absentee ballot.

Nov. 8 is the last day for the County Board of Election to receive voted mail-in and civilian absentee ballots which must be received by 8 p.m.

Headquarters hours of operation will be announced on Aug. 30.
