Vaccine Clinic
The PA Department of Health will be on the Sugar Valley Rural Charter School's campus to offer free flu and COVID-19 (initial and booster) shots for adults 18 and up. Free new boots!
Free new winter boots are offered to eligible kids and teens at the Lock Haven Area Shoe Bank in November. Families who have visited the Shoe Bank within the past five months are still eligible for boots and may come on Saturday, Nov. 5. Families who are now eligible for free new shoes plus boots may come on Saturday, Nov. 12. Don't worry -- the shelves are more than full of boots in many sizes. Appointments are required and may be made by calling or texting Diahann at 814-571-5324 (Monday-Friday, 7-9 p.m., please). The Shoe Bank is inside Covenant United Methodist Church, 44 W. Main St., Lock Haven.
Veterans Day
The Lock Haven Elks, 216 E. Main St., will host a Veterans Day event on Friday, Nov. 11, to honor veterans. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. with Private Stock Trio set to perform in the ballroom from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Tickets cost $5 and may be purchased by calling or texting 570-295-9330. The event will also feature a cash bar. All proceeds will benefit Heroes & Horses.
