With Christmas right around the corner, Advocates United for Humanity (AU4H), a grassroots tax-exempt organization based in North Bend with a worldwide presence, is in full Christmas mode. On Monday, the organization announced via its official website that Kensley Kshir, 5, and Ryker Yost, 8, will represent the organization as the 2022 Snow Queen and Snow King. Advocates United for Humanity Ambassadors helps enhance the quality of life for those affected by violence. AU4H strives to help make the world a better, safer place for kids. They lead positive social change through resource services and networking. This year, with a unanimous vote, the committee selected Kensley as Snow Queen and Ryker as her Snow King. The two's first public appearance was representing the nonprofit in the FFF Annual Christmas Parade. The two rode a float designed by Maureen Ruhl, Donna Kshir, and Brittany and Chad Nelen. Kensley is the daughter of Roger and Tabitha Kshir, of North Bend, the granddaughter of Roger and Donna Kshir, of North Bend and Rick and Shannan (Stover) Pepperman, of Linden. Ryker is the son of Brandy and Terry Lake and Tim and Mary Beth Yost, and is the grandson of Terri Hough and Richard Gentzyel, all of the Renovo area.
