GOSPEL SING
Milesburg Baptist Church will be hosting a free music event featuring Jeremy Goodling on Sunday, April 16, at 6 p.m. at the church located at 110 Market St., Milesburg. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the public is invited to attend.
The Jeremy Goodling Music Ministry states, "Each concert is an opportunity for Jeremy to sing songs with a real message and encouragement, as well as sharing a short testimony and challenge. The songs you would hear at Jeremy's concerts offer a variety of Christian styles that all ages can enjoy."
Admission is free, but donations to the Jeremy Goodling Music Ministry will be accepted and appreciated. Call Lori Trawinski at the church for more info at 814-360-8252.
EASTER EVENTS
Breakfast with the Easter Bunny will be held at the Centre Hall Fire Station on Saturday, April 8, beginning at 8 a.m. For adults and children 13 and over the price is $7; $4 for children ages 10-12; children 9 and under are free.
Also at the station during this same time period, the Potter Township Parks & Recreation Board is sponsoring pictures with the Easter Bunny and crafts/activities from 8-10 a.m.; a bounce house/slide from 9-noon, and an egg hunt for children 9 and under at 10 a.m.
Millheim Fire Company will be having an Easter Egg Hunt for children ages 0-12 at the pool grounds on April 8. The Easter Bunny will be there posing for photos at 12:30 p.m. with the egg hunt beginning at 1 o'clock.
New Hope Fellowship Church will have an Easter Egg Hunt on April 8 at 11 a.m. In addition to Golden Egg prizes there will be food, games, face painting and a coloring contest at the church located at 6436 Nittany Valley Drive, Mill Hall.
American Legion Post 623 in Beech Creek will have an Easter egg hunt tomorrow at 1 p.m.
Children should bring their own basket, bag or bucket to collect the eggs in for each of the egg hunts.
LIBERTY
BAPTIST
April 7 will be the Women's Annual Good Friday Sacrificial Breakfast beginning at 9 a.m. at the church. Reservations were necessary.
The Good Friday Cross Walk will start at 11 a.m. at the church parking lot. Participants will take turns carrying the cross to the breast of Sayers Dam for a ceremony to drive a nail into the cross to symbolize nailing your own sins to the cross, before walking back to the church.
Easter Sunday morning worship starting at 10:15 a.m. If you need a place to worship, please come and join us. Everyone is welcome. Randy Mark from Lamar will be bringing the Easter message.
HOWARD GRANGE
Howard Grange is being restarted. The next meeting will be held on Wednesday, April 12, at 6:30 p.m. at the Howard United Methodist Church. Everyone is welcome to come and see what the new Howard Grange is all about.
Howard Grange is already helping people in the community by donating each month to the church's porch pantry. Each member brings a non-perishable item or two to keep the pantry stocked for residents who need items during the month.
Howard Grange will be selling Grange Fair tickets, so you can buy your tickets from a Grange member. Everyone who has a camper or a tent needs a ticket to go through the gates to set up so you can buy yours early and help the Grange, too. For each ticket that Howard Grange sells they will make $2 which will really help the new Grange get started financially. FIRE CO. BINGO
Centre Hall Fire Company Cash Bingo will be held this evening, April 7, at the fire station at 134 N. Witmer Avenue. Doors and the kitchen open at 5 p.m. Early bird game and rip ticket chances starting at 6:30 p.m. Regular Bingo games start at 7 p.m. Rip off tickets and food are available. Bring a two- or four-pack of paper products (toilet tissue, napkins, tissues, etc) to support the Centre Hall/Potter Food Pantry and receive a free early bird package.
APRIL EVENTS
Howard Area Lions will host a Blood Drive at the Howard fire hall on April 12 from 1-6 p.m.
Bald Eagle Valley Community United Methodist church will have a homemade ham or chicken pot pie sale on Monday, April 17, at the church. Pre-orders of pot pie at $8 a quart should be called to Janette at 814-883-0893. Drive-thru pick up and walk in sales begin at 4 p.m. and last until sold out.
Millheim Fire Company will be having a Gun Raffle on April 22 at the fire station. Tickets are available for $20 each, or a bargain deal at six for $100.
Pleasant Gap Grange #109 is having a soup sale on Saturday, April 29.
A basket raffle will be held at the Friendship Community Center on Friday and Saturday, April 28 and 29, to raise funds to pay for the final expenses of Sandy Boob, the former FCC President who passed away on Feb. 4, 2023. Baskets and donations of gift cards or items for the benefit are needed. There are a lot of restaurants, gas and grocery stores that you can get a gift card from that people really like to win at the benefits. Sandy held several basket benefits to help others in the community when they were going through serious health situations, so we hope that everyone will honor Sandy's memory and contribute to this benefit for her.

SPORTSMENS CLUB
Liberty Township Sportsmens Association will be having some activities in April that may interest readers.
Tomorrow, April 8, there will be a muzzle loader shoot at the rifle range. Registration begins at 9 a.m. Contact Dave at 570-660-2456 for more info.
On April 15 there will be a skeet Bunny Shoot with registration at 9:30 a.m. Meet at the skeet field.
On April 22 there will be a shotgun shoot for women. This is an opportunity for women to learn to shoot trap, 5 stand and skeet. Borrow your man's shotgun (or one can be borrowed) and come to the club's skeet field. Registration limited to 10 women and registration can be done by phone with Renee at 607-425-1377. A safety meeting and coffee will be held at 8 a.m. just before the shoot. Women should bring their eye and ear protection equipment as required.
On April 29 the club will host the annual Children's Fishing Derby at the club pond. The fishing derby is for children ages 12 and under. The derby starts at 8 a.m. and runs until 1 p.m. Lunch is provided.
