Station Gallery to host Earth Day events Saturday

LOCK HAVEN -- The Clinton County Arts Council will host a Rock Wrapping event during Earth Day at The Station Gallery, 2 E. Bald Eagle St., Lock Haven.
The event, to honor Earth Day, will take place from 10 a.m. to noon. The public is invited to come participate and bring a favorite rock or rocks to wrap. The CCAC will have some rocks for wrapping.
Rock Wrapping will see participants find creative ways to utilize cane, waxed linen, yarn and string to create art pieces.
Following Rock Wrapping, local photographer Bruce Wallace will speak about nature photography from 1 to 2 p.m.
Wallace will talk about his nature photography, particularly of birds and animals. He is the gallery's Shutterflies Youth photo camp instructor for its week-long workshop this summer.
Both Jackie Thomas and Bruce Wallace will be showing their art at the regional juried 100 miles exhibit at Penn College of Technology Gallery opening this June.
Later this year, CCAC Vice President Carol Cillo, who was also selected to show pieces at the 100 miles exhibit, and Thomas will be holding fiber workshops throughout 2023.
The CCAC will also hold a water color demonstration with professional water colorist Brienne Brown.
