"It's A Dog's Life" Lunch

is May 24

LOCK HAVEN -- On Wednesday, May 24, the Lock Haven Christian Women's Connection will enjoy their "It's A Dog's Life" Luncheon. The program will be held at the Flemington First Church of Christ, 714 Canal Street, Allison Township. There is always good food, lots of fun, music and gifted speakers that help inform and inspire ladies to make a most memorable day.

The theme of May's lunch is "It's A Dog's Life." Cynthia Allen will introduce Pippin, the Pet Therapy dog, to those attending. Pippin is a hypoallergenic Cairn Terrier who is a trained Trick Dog and does performances in churches, libraries, nursing homes and hospitals.

There is always a musical component at the luncheons and May's special music guest is Elaine Barth. Elaine is well-known in the area for her clear and vibrant voice.

The title for the inspirational speaker is "The Shepherd Leads On." Cynthia Allen from Howell, N.J., then returns to the podium. Allen is a former Special Education Teacher and a former missionary. Her talk is entitled "A Single Mom's Journey to Security."

The program begins at 11:50 a.m. The cost of $15 per person includes lunch, entertainment, inspirational speaker and free parking. All area women are invited. The location allows for on-site childcare for young mothers. Nursery reservations must be made at the time that luncheon reservations are made.
