Rich Ramm Memorial
Scholarship available
MILL HALL -- The Clinton County Conservation District would like to make Clinton County students aware of a scholarship that they would have access to during a normal school year.
The Rich Ramm Memorial Scholarship is administered each year by the Conservation District in memory of a local farmer and scholar of Agronomy, who died in 1992. Eligible applicants must be a Clinton County resident and include graduating high school seniors or full-time college students who have entered in or have been accepted into an accredited program in the field of agriculture. The amount of this year's Rich Ramm Scholarship is $2,300 and the deadline to apply will be May 25.
Primary consideration will be given to those students who have continued to successfully challenge themselves throughout their academic career as indicated by course choice, grades, leadership and work experience. The essay required for the application will carry high importance in determining the recipient of this scholarship. Activities, awards and recognitions listed on the reverse side of the application will also be considered.
In order to apply, a student must submit the application available from the Conservation District. They must also submit: 1. An essay which includes: describe why you want to study agriculture. List three personal goals. How committed are you? What does a degree in agriculture mean to you? What do you plan to do after graduating college? Include a list of people who have influenced you and have worked with you through your school years, in or out of school. 2. A transcript of high school grades, a college transcript, if applicable. If graduating from high school include a letter of acceptance from the college you will be attending. 3. Include a letter of recommendation from a teacher or professor.
