Ross Library annual history tours

By From Staff Reports 1 min read

LOCK HAVEN -- The Ross Library's annual historic tours will be coming back over the summer. Led by local historian Lou Bernard, the tours are held every Friday night in June and July at 7 p.m., and each one begins at the library.

Each tour has facts and stories that can't be found anywhere else. They all have a different route or theme, beginning with Water Street on June 2, Main Street on June 9, and Church Street on June 16. On June 23, the tour will be "The Founding of Clinton County" for the county's 184th anniversary, and on June 30, there will be stories of kindness and diversity for the annual summer reading theme.

July will begin with a Civil War tour on July 7, for the library's Civil War Week. The month continues with Bellefonte Avenue on July 14, mysteries and legends on July 21, and concludes with "Weird, Wild Lock Haven" on July 28.

Each tour takes approximately an hour.
