She Can: Conservation district to host STEM camp

MILL HALL -- The Clinton County Conservation District has announced it will be hosting a conservation and STEM camp for young ladies in grades 9-11 on June 23-25.

"She Can" is an opportunity for participants to experience Conservation and Natural Resource Management with hands-on instruction from professional women and mentors working with local, state, and federal agencies.

The camp will feature speakers from the United States Fish and Wildlife Service, Pennsylvania DCNR, Pennsylvania Game Commission, Trout Unlimited National and others.

Participants will have the opportunity to enjoy the outdoors through a variety of fun and exciting activities and lessons such as archery, fly fishing and aquatic entomology, veterinary medicine, wildlife, fisheries, wilderness survival, peer interaction and mentorship.

The district is limiting the availability to 15 students to maximize hands-on learning.
