MILL HALL -- The Clinton County Conservation District and Keystone Central School District are teaming up for fun, educational Conservation Summer Day Camps throughout the county.
The camps will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the following locations:
-- The Clinton County Conservation District will be at Castanea Park on July 31.
-- The Department of Conservation and Natural Resources will be in South Renovo on Aug. 1.
-- Representatives from Clyde Pealing's Reptile Land will be at Mill Hall Park on Aug. 2.
-- Rick Mikula will be at Hoberman Park in Lock Haven on Aug. 3.
-- Another speaker, to be determined, will be at North Bend on Aug. 4.
The program is open to all area children, from Kindergarten through sixth grade.
The camp includes:
-- Fun ways to learn about the environment through hands-on activities.
-- Interactive experiences and educational presentations such as dissecting owl pellets, programs from Reptile Land or butterflies with expert Rick Mikula.
-- Presentations by local biologists, conservation officers, foresters and natural resource professionals.
