For the comfort and convenience of fairgoers, the Clinton County Fair Association has purchased three new, portable and large sets of bleachers, thanks to a grant from the Clinton County Community Foundation. The bleachers will be on display at the fair, which begins this Saturday and runs through Aug. 5. The Foundation has long been a supporter of the fair and the fairgrounds, approving hundreds of thousands of dollars in grant funds over the years, mostly to help the association’s board of directors enhance the property’s infrastructure to improve fairgoers’ experience. And the investments have made a big difference, fair volunteers said. On hand recently to show off one of the new bleachers were members of the fair board and a foundation representative.
