Mental Health series continues Wednesday

David Romano

LOCK HAVEN — Clinton County’s Virtual Mental Health series will continue Wednesday with a discussion surrounding men and mental health.

Guest speaker David Romano will talk about these subjects at 2 p.m. on Wednesday via the Clinton County Government’s Facebook page. Following the discussion, which will run until 3:15 p.m., the video will be uploaded to the county’s website — www.clintoncountypa.gov — under its resource page.

Romano has been a mental health advocate since he was 18. Along with his work as an Active Minds speaker and advocate, he’s collaborated with the United States Department of Health and Human Services, National Institute of Mental Health, Speaking Up for Kids and Human Relations Media.

Romano is also an accomplished social worker and has worked in residential, partial hospitalization, outpatient, inpatient and community non-profit settings, working with child, adolescent, adult, family and geriatric populations.

In 2015, Romano completed a diplomatic people-to-people collaborative project in Petrozavodsk, Russia.

Romano is the fifth speaker in the Mental Health Series, which was created through a Health Initiative for Rural PA Grant from the Pennsylvania Office of Rural Health.

Other virtual health speakers in the coming months are:

During the Clinton County Board of Commissioners work session on Monday morning, Commissioner Angela Harding highlighted the upcoming speaker.
