Following a reign chock-full of elementary school visits, visiting fairs and representing the Clinton County Fair at a plethora of events, the 2022 Clinton County Fair Queen, Bryley Miller, will be handing off the crown on Saturday, July 29. She relates that it’s a bittersweet feeling. “It’s been such a special year of incredible opportunities, so I’m sad to see it end, but I’m excited to see who wears the crown next.” Bryley and the rest of the Clinton County Fair family anticipate a fabulous contest of seven contestants facing off for the 2023 crown and title.

Three highly qualified judges from outside Clinton County will make their selection based on personal interview, evening gown competition, speech presentation, written essay and impromptu question response.

The contestants are:

— Adysyn Phillips, daughter of Neil & Linda Phillips

— Catherine Lavallee, daughter of Robert Harley & Nicole Lavallee

GRACIE JOHNSON

— Christina “Chrissy” Smith, daughter of Shane & Samantha Smith

— Elizabeth “Izzy” Walker, daughter of Jamie & Christa Walker

— Gracie Johnson, daughter of Justin & Kim Johnson

— Margaret “Maggie” Park, daughter of Frederick Park, Jr. & Loretta Park

— Skyenne Kramer, daughter of Shauna Seyler

Skyenne Kramer

The Clinton County Fair Queen is, essentially, the face of the Fair. She promotes agriculture via community relations and education. Each year, our queen grows professionally by stepping outside her comfort zone and honing her public relations skills.

Though some folks mistakenly think otherwise, contestants do not need to live on a farm or need to be a member of an agricultural organization to compete for the crown. Contestants should be able to strongly demonstrate their knowledge and love of the Clinton County Fair to excel in the Fair Queen competition.

Join us at the Main Stage at the Clinton County Fairgrounds on Saturday, July 29 at 3:30 p.m. to cheer on our contestants. In addition to witnessing these seven excellent young ladies vying for the crown, the contest also includes a short auction of various local items, benefitting this outstanding program. It’s a great way to support the Clinton County Fair Queen program, ensuring its presence in our community for years to come. Don’t forget your checkbook, so you too can be a part in its legacy!

The new 2023 queen will quickly find herself busy as the fair continues through Saturday, Aug. 5.
