Never forget
Angel Lights will shine in Triangle Park on Monday, 9/11. The luminaires are $5 each. To sponsor yours, visit the store, The Bus Stops Here, at 115 E. Main St., Lock Haven, or look for the Rotary Club of Downtown Lock Haven at the Labor Day Regatta. If you would like more information, please email dlhrotary@gmail.com. Proceeds from this project go back to the community.
A Simple
Request
Dogwood Circle Garden Club requests that those smokers who walk through the garden at the triangle and enjoy the flowers please take your cigarette butts with you instead of dropping them on the sidewalk or flicking them into the plantings. We have enough to do in maintaining the gardens and don't need to pick up after you, too. Nothing is ever "thrown away," just put somewhere else for others to deal with.
Buggy country
We live in a region where it is not unusual to share the road with an Amish buggy. PennDOT encourages drivers to allow a margin of safety and remember that horses are not always predictable. If you come up behind a buggy, slow down, do not honk the horn and stay back. At a stop sign or light, leave 10 to 12 feet between your vehicle and the buggy.
