MILL HALL -- Central Mountain Marching Band students and instructors have been hard at work all summer preparing for their upcoming season.

This year's show is music from "SpongeBob SquarePants" and is sure to be a crowd-pleaser at marching band competitions and football games this fall.

The band spent an intense week at band camp in July, learning music, drill and routine for six songs -- a huge number of pieces for a field show.

It was with great success -- for the fourth year in a row, the band learned the entire show by Thursday, this time before lunch.

Featured songs are SpongeBob SquarePants Theme, Ripped Pants, Campfire Song Song, Sweet Victory, Best Day Ever, and F.U.N. The students had their annual band camp performance for parents on Friday night, and all went well. They can't wait to get back out to perform in front of the public.

The marching band participated in the Little League Grand Slam Parade on Aug. 14, and performed the National Anthem at the Clinton County Speedway on Aug. 18.

The first football game at which the band will be performing "under the lights" is the away game against Mifflin County.

Starting at /week.
