Flemington Borough officials wanted to improve handicap accessibility, specifically a proper path for people using wheelchairs, at the popular Grove Community Park. Enter the Clinton County Community Foundation. The borough applied for and was awarded a $3,950 grant by the Foundation and installed an asphalt walkway to provide wheelchair-handicap access to its large pavilion. The park is heavily used by local residents. Pavilion rentals are available for reunions, birthdays and a range of events at the park. More information about the park and its use is available from the borough at 570-748-7488, or send an email to office@flemingtonboroughpa.org. Marking the completing of the walkway are, from left, Councilman Dave Grimm; borough Secretary-Treasurer Charity Walizer-Etters; Foundation Treasurer Darlene Weaver; Jo LaRocque, borough councilwoman and finance committee chair; Councilman Stephen Hoy; Councilwoman Traci Kuntz; Councilman and Recreation Committee Chair Wayne Allison; Borough Foreman William Brungard; Borough Laborer Kollin Wheeler; Foundation President Allan Lugg, Jr. and Foundation Secretary Don Grant. More information on how to support the Foundation and its giving is available at www.clintoncountyfoundation.org, or by calling 570-220-1038.
