MILL HALL -- The Clinton County Conservation District announced Taylor Weaver as the 2023 Rich Ramm Scholarship recipient.
The Clinton County Conservation District administers the Rich Ramm Memorial Scholarship, which was established in honor of a local farmer and scholar of agronomy who died in 1992. The Rich Ramm Memorial Scholarship is offered every year to a graduating high school senior or full-time college student entering into the field of agriculture, from any Clinton County high school or Jersey Shore High School student that lives in Clinton County.
Taylor is a rising sophomore at Delaware Valley University where he majors in Large Animal Science. He recorded an impressive 3.54 GPA his freshman year, qualifying him for the Dean's List in both of his first two semesters. This made him eligible for the Alpha Lambda Delta honor society which recognizes students who achieve at least a 3.5 GPA in their first year. Beyond being an exceptional student, Taylor is also a member of the Delaware Valley University wrestling team. The former Central Mountain standout was a starter at 133 pounds and a regional qualifier in just his first season at DVU. He is also an active leader in his school's Cru ministry which helps other students come to know Jesus and grow in their faith.
