Suicide

awareness

The Lycoming/Clinton Joinder is hosting a free event in honor of suicide awareness on Wednesday, Sept. 13, at 6:30 p.m. at the Roxy Theater. Come hear Kevin Hines share his story of hope, healing and recovery while he teaches people of all ages the art of wellness and the ability to survive pain with true resilience. No tickets are needed, seating is on a first come first serve basis. The concession stand will be open for drink/snack purchases.

A simple request

Dogwood Circle Garden Club requests that those smokers who walk through the garden at the triangle and enjoy the flowers please take your cigarette butts with you instead of dropping them on the sidewalk or flicking them into the plantings. We have enough to do in maintaining the gardens and don't need to pick up after you, too. Nothing is ever "thrown away," just put somewhere else for others to deal with.

Seeking sobriety

Seeking Sobriety, a local AA meeting, meets Mondays from 7 to 8 p.m. at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 112 E. Main St., Lock Haven. Enter through the door at the end of a walkway on the right of the church. The open meeting features rotating topics with a focus on tools and a mindset for getting and staying sober.

Starting at /week.
