Eight employees from the Mill Hall and Lamar Croda, Inc. manufacturing sites volunteered time on Monday to help prepare for the annual Annie Halenbake Ross Library book sale running until Sept. 16. Croda encourages employees to give back by donating 1 percent of their time at work to helping community nonprofits. The volunteers loaded, moved, unloaded and sorted 1,000 boxes of books for the annual sale. Last spring Croda volunteers helped spruce up landscaping at the Ross Library. Sara Reynolds, an executive assistant at Croda said, "It was our pleasure to give a few hours to the library. Our team worked all morning to help with the sale. So glad all the proceeds go to support the library. I will be back to buy a few books myself."
