LOCK HAVEN -- Join Alpha Sigma Tau, Zeta Chapter, for the entire month of October as we raise money for both of its local and national philanthropies, Roads to Peace and Dress for Success.
From Oct. 13-14, members will be hosting its biggest fundraiser of the year, the annual Rock-A-Thon, where sisters rock on rocking chairs for 24 hours to raise awareness for both Roads to Peace and Dress for Success.
Also, for the month of October, members will be holding a donation drive where you can drop off goods at donation boxes that can be found around campus. You can check out photos of Alpha Sigma Tau, Zeta's activities on Facebook and Instagram. All donations collected will be presented to the charities in the first week of November.
Roads to Peace is a local non-profit organization that raises awareness and gives hope to domestic and sexual abuse survivors by providing medical treatment, housing and legal advocacy. They offer support groups, counseling and other prevention education at no cost. Roads to Peace provides a safe haven in the community and offers quality services to anyone who may need it.
Dress for Success is an international not-for-profit organization that empowers women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire and developmental tools to help women thrive in work and in life.
