Soup sale
Swissdale United Methodist Church is holding a vegetable soup sale on Friday, Oct. 27 from 12:30 to 3 p.m. The cost is $7 per quart. Please call at 570-660-7965 by Oct. 27 to order, otherwise it will be first-come, first-serve.
Trunk or Treats
Trunk or Treating opportunities begin this week. On Oct. 15 at Bald Birds Brewing Company, 220 Shaffer Lane, Jersey Shore, you can get treats from 1-5 p.m. On Oct. 17 at Pine Creek Veterinary Associates, 2161 Woodward Ave., Lock Haven, you can get goodies from 5-6:30 p.m.
Haunted Tours
Paranormal investigator Lou Bernard of LHPS will once again give haunted tours of Lock Haven as a fundraiser for the Ross Library! Tours are $5 per person.
The tours will be on Friday, Oct. 20, at 7 p.m. and 11 p.m.; on Saturday, Oct. 21, also at both 7 p.m. and 11 p.m.; on Thursday, Oct. 26, at 7 p.m.; on Friday, Oct. 27, at 11 p.m.; on Saturday, Oct. 28, at both 7 p.m. and 11 p.m.; and on Monday, Oct. 30, at 7 p.m.
Each tour takes about an hour and begins at the Ross Library. Participants are encouraged to bring a flashlight for safety. Smoking during a tour is prohibited. Details on tours are available on the library's website, or at 570-748-3321 or ross13@rosslibrary.org.
