190th
Anniversary
Lock Haven's 190th anniversary is this November, and to celebrate, local historian Lou Bernard is giving a free walking tour. The tour will begin Friday, Nov. 3, at 7 p.m., at Downtown Lock Haven, 205 E. Main St., Lock Haven. The tour will feature stories from the earliest days of Lock Haven, including our town founder, the building of the canals and some of the earliest businesses and buildings. Bernard invites the community to come and commemorate the 190th anniversary with him. The tour is free, and no registration is necessary. Sausage sale
Millheim Fire Company is having a sausage sale with orders due by Nov. 8. Salt and pepper sausage will be sold loose or stuffed for $4.50 per pound. Pans of scrapple are also being sold at $4.50 each. Orders can be called to 814-470-1510. Pickup of the sausage will be on Nov. 16-17 at the fire station in Millheim.
